Loop Cycle Co-op

A website and booking flow for a volunteer-run bike repair shop, designed around the one question everyone asks: when can I come in?

The Loop Cycle Co-op booking page with a week of repair stand time slots, next to the booking form on a phone

The brief

Loop is a community workshop where volunteers help people fix their own bikes. Their old site had nine pages, a PDF timetable and a contact form that went to someone who had moved away. Most visitors wanted to know one thing: when can I come in?

What we did

We cut the site down to what people actually asked for, then built the booking flow first and everything else around it.

  • One page for time slots. Every stand, every session, one week at a time. Full slots say "Full" instead of disappearing, so people can see the shop is busy and plan for next week.
  • Three steps, no account. Pick a time, describe your bike in your own words, add your name. We removed four fields from the first draft (more on that in the journal).
  • A poster that matches. The window poster and the site share one message and one link, so the ask is the same on the street and online.

Outcome

The volunteers now see who is coming and what they are bringing before each session. The phone still rings sometimes, but mostly to say thank you.
